![]() I loved Savannah Breeze and wanted to read another book by Mary Kay Andrews, so I opted for The Fixer Upper. And let me tell you, it didn't disappoint. My initial draw to the book stems from my obsession with rehab shows on HGTV, but this book runs deeper than just cosmetic improvements. It's about hitting rock bottom and doing a little sole searching to reshape and find your true "place" in life. Everyone has obstacles in their life and it's how you face those obstacles and how you allow them to change you that defines who you are. The main character got fired from her job and was forced to move away from everything she knew to "fix up" an old family home. There's a scandal, struggle with family members and a love story that will keep you entertained throughout the book. And now I'm on to the next Mary Kay Andrews book, Little Bitty Lies.
