![]() Lizzy and Jane by Katherine Reay has to be on your "must read" list for 2015, if you haven't read it already. I absolutely LOVED this book. Lizzy is a professional chef who loses her zin for cooking and goes to help her sister (whom she's not close with) who has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Despite their differences, they seem to find a common ground to let the past be forgiven and start fresh. It's a beautiful story - one that will make you laugh, cry and challenge your thoughts about your own ambitions and dreams. And if you're a foodie, you'll love all the food references in this book. I've always thought of my family as my number one priority - it's what matters most to me. This story's underlying message I feel like is all about the importance of being around the people you love and that maybe "what you do" for a living isn't as important.
